Lounsberry Meadow has diverse, friendly residents and a beautiful suburban setting.

The building includes a community room with a big screen TV, and a working kitchen; a computer room with Internet access; and a reading area and library with book exchange privileges. There are several gathering places with common seating areas, both indoors and out.  A private patio area with a gas barbecue grill is available to all residents.

There are several children’s groups that visit Lounsberry throughout the year.  St. Vincent’s school children usually make two visits during the school year to entertain the residents.  A piano teacher brings her students for piano recitals about three times a year.  In the past local girl scout/boy scout troops made periodic visits as well.

First Friday Mass is held once a month by St. Vincent de Paul Church.  Reverend Peters from the Presbyterian Church also holds services once a month.

While many of our residents provide their own transportation, there is a Senior Bus run by Long Hill Township.  It services Lounsberry four days a week with pick ups in the morning.  Shopping trips to Shoprite are scheduled for Thursday and out of town shopping is scheduled on the last Wednesday of the month.  Residents are transported to the Senior Center on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday where they can attend senior meetings and Nutrition Center classes.  The Long Hill Township Senior Citizen Center also frequently organizes budget conscious trips outside the area.  Buses occasionally run from Long Hill Township to New York City and Atlantic City.

Lounsberry Meadow residents and/or management organize a variety of events year round.  The occasions can be spontaneous or planned for special holidays. In past years, there have been parties for Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and New Years. These events are always voluntary and completely inclusive if held in common facilities.

Residents are expected to make an honest effort to be agreeable to other residents and the facilities’ employees, and to cooperate with Management in maintaining accord and harmony at all times.
