Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) is closely monitoring the weather that is forecast for the region for Sunday and Monday and is prepared to respond should outages occur.
Customers are reminded to call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) or to click the “Report Outage” link on www.jcp-l.com to report power outages.
JCP&L reminds customers to stay away from downed wires, even if they believe they are no longer carrying electricity. Extra caution should be used in areas where downed wires are tangled with trees or other debris. Customers should immediately report downed wires to their utility, or call their local police department.
